A skin test is where a small amount of colourant is applied to the skin either behind the ear or on the inner elbow and is left for 48 hours, Hair colourants can cause an allergic reaction which in some cases may be severe. To help reduce the risk of an allergic reaction I require anyone who is having a colour treatment has a skin test 48 hours before.
